The Most Kawaii

I really want a Toffee doll, now.  Distributed by Huckleberry Toys, Toffee is a new line of super kawaii Japanese dolls from designer Riri Fukuju.  These plush body mixed-media handmade dolls come in several designs (including the limited edition Hellboy Fan doll with awesome kitty cat eyes), all of them cute and some of them slightly sinister.  They're a more traditional alternative to Asian ball-jointed dolls, and, with their big baby-doll type heads and tiny bodies, are less anatomical and more whimsical.

Bottom row, L to R: Lily, VIctoria, Pinky

Riri (pronounced "Lily") Fukuju has a portfolio of fuzzy animals with smooth white faces and hauntingl little girls with vacant expressions.  If I had one, I'd make a stop motion film set in some Mark Ryden phantasy.  Speaking of films, let's not forget this year's Alice in Wonderland.  Here's a little Alice by Riri.
